On November 4, China Center for Special Economic Zone Research (CCSEZR) held the 2023 mobilization and coaching session on the application for programs of the National Foundation of China. Prof. Dong Zhiqiang, Deputy Dean of the School of Economics and Management, South China Normal University (SCNU) and Director of the Key Lab for Behavioral Economic Science & Technology, was invited to give guidance and share his experience at the meeting. More than 40 teachers from CCSEZR and the School of Economics and Management of SCNU, attended the meeting. Deputy Director Zhang Ping presides over the event.
Prof. Tao Yitao, Director of CCSEZR, and Leader of the Theoretical Economics Discipline, made a pep talk. She urged teachers to prepare actively and early, closely follow the issues of the times and major national needs, improve the quality of program application, and strive to achieve excellent results in the application of 2023 National Foundation Programs. CCSEZR will make every possible effort to provide all kinds of support for teachers. On behalf of CCSEZR and the Theoretical Economics Discipline, she extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Prof. Dong for sharing his experience.
Prof. Dong focused on what kind of application strategy and tactics should be applied, including a concise topic, research background, research value, content framework, innovation point refinement and writing skills. He shared his experience in applying and reviewing programs of the National Social Science Foundation, the Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Education from multiple perspectives as a research manager, a review expert and an applicant.
The teachers present expressed that they gained a lot from this Coaching Session. The intensive information helped to holistically understand and master the application requirements and skills of the National Social Science Foundation, the Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Education projects. The Session also presented more application experience to help them raise the hit rate.
