The sun is shining and the Lyceum is in full bloom. On May 29, 2022, the 2022 doctoral and master’s graduates in Theoretical Economics and Ph.D. students of secondary discipline outside the catalog (Management Science and Economic Decision-making, and Institutional Innovation and Cultural Creativity) from the China Center for Special Economic Zone Research (CCSEZR), Shenzhen University (SZU) took group photos with their advisors in front of the steps of the Liberal Arts Building. Attending the commencement were Prof. Tao Yitao, Director of the CCSEZR, and the leader of the discipline of Theoretical Economics, Prof. Lu Zhiguo, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Economics and the Ph.D. Supervisor of Theoretical Economics, Prof. Li Meng, Deputy Director and Dr. Zhang Ying, Deputy Secretary. Prof. Li Li, Former Dean of the School of Management and Prof. Niu Ben, Deputy Dean of the School of Management also presented as the first Ph.D. Supervisors of the Management Science and Economic Decision-making.
A total of 11 doctoral graduates successfully graduated in Theoretical Economics in the first half of 2022, including 3 doctoral students in Management Science and Economic Decision-making, 1 in Institutional Innovation and Cultural Creativity and 18 master’s graduates in Theoretical Economics. Master’s students Wu Xiaokun and Xie Shiyu, tutored by Prof. Li Fan (Deputy Director of CCSEZR), have been admitted as Ph.D. students by Arizona State University (with full scholarship) and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics respectively.
As time goes by, the sweat and tears of studying are turned into joy and harvest in the CCSEZR graduation season, and the friendship and companionship between teachers and students will always linger in our hearts this summer. Congratulations to all 2022 Theoretical Economics graduates! We hope you stay true to the spirit of SZU of being “Down-to-earth, confident and independent”, and the spirit of SEZ of being “Fearless and enthusiastic”. We hope you never forget your alma mater and your respected teachers. We hope you cherish only your young days, brave the wind and waves, and dedicate yourself to chasing dreams!
