In order to further improve the quality of application for projects of National Social Science Foundation and Natural Science Foundation of China by teachers of the China Center for Special Economic Zone Research (CCSEZR) and teachers of postdoctoral mobile station, the CCSEZR held the 2019 Coaching Session on the Application for Projects of National Social Science Foundation and Natural Science Foundation of China in the meeting room 1722 of the Liberal Arts Building at 9:00 a.m. on December 17, 2018. Prof. Luo Biliang, a review member of the discipline group for projects of National Social Science Foundation and Natural Science Foundation of China, deputy director of the Academic Committee of South China Agricultural University and president of the National School of Agricultural Institution and Development (NSAID), gave a coaching report and provided targeted guidance for teachers applying for projects of this year. Prof. Yuan Yiming, deputy director of the CCSEZR, presided over the session.
The coaching session consisted of thematic coaching and targeted guidance. Prof. Luo Biliang first made a wonderful thematic coaching on how to successfully apply for the National Social Science Foundation and Natural Science Foundation of China by explaining the review rules and methods of the national foundation and the tips to write a good application. Later, he made detailed comments on the applications submitted by some teachers from the aspects of topic selection, and research approach, and put forward instructive suggestions. All teachers present said this coaching session is very rewarding.
