According to the Silk Road Book Project Office, the project application for 2018 is opened in early 2018. After preliminary review, expert review and final review, 375 varieties of 73 publishers were established to be included in the list of annual funded books. Special Economic Zones and China’s Path, the result of the key project of National Social Science Fund (10AJL001) chaired by Prof. Tao Yitao, won the honor and will be published in Mongolian.
The "Silk Road Book Project" is the only major project in China's news and publishing industry included in China's "Belt and Road Initiative". It was officially approved by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on December 5, 2014 and is designed to be completed in 2020, covering key translation funding programs, book translation programs for silk road countries, Chinese textbook promotion programs, overseas exhibition programs and publication database promotion programs. The Silk Road Book Project Office is responsible for the implementation of the Silk Road Book Project.
The book Special Economic Zones and China’s Path was listed in the Frankfurt Book Fair Directory in Germany in 2016 and was published overseas by the Springer. In December 2017, it was listed in "China Book International" and "Project for Translation and Publication of Chinese Cultural Works" - key annual important international cooperation projects of State Council Information Office and the State Administration of Press Publication, Radio, Film and Television and was published by Sefsafa Publishing House. And in December 2017, it was listed in the publishing program of Nestor Publishing House of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
At present, Special Economic Zones and China’s Path will be published in five languages including Chinese, English, Russian, Mongolian and Arabic. It aims to promote the successful experience of China's special economic zones to the world, suggest the content of China's path and provide solutions with Chinese characteristics to the problems faced by emerging and developing economies.
