Academic Collected Journals (Journals) refer to academic publications in the field of humanities and social sciences sponsored by relevant academic institutions in China, mainly containing original academic research results, and published in books (book number ISBN) periodically. The methods of literature review, social research, and case study are adopted for the final list of the selected journals. Upon rounds of public consultation, information collection and expert deliberation, the final list of 403 selected academic journals was determined.
The initial issue of
The Studies on China’s Special Economic Zones was in 2008 by CCSEZR, a key research institute of humanities and social sciences under the Ministry of Education. It is the only academic journal specializing in SEZs studies in China, and has become an influential academic brand in and outside of China. Fifteen issues have been published consecutively since its first issue. It has been indexed in CNKI China Academic Journals Full-text Database since 2009. In 2015, it has won the Outstanding Collected Journal Award from the Social Science Academic Press. The first English edition of the Collected Journal in 2018 was downloaded as many as 3,306 times, surpassing the average downloads in the Springer economics e-books, and received a congratulatory letter from the world-renowned publishing group of Springer.
This enlistment is a high recognition of the quality of our humanities and social sciences journals. Based on the strong academic strengths of the CCSEZR,
The Studies on China’s Special Economic Zones adheres to high standard issuance, invites famous scholars in China and abroad to contribute articles, and encourages young talents’ participation. As a result, it is quite competitive among many periodicals. In the future, it will continue to regard academic quality as its lifeline and elaborate and organize thematic publications, reflecting the latest research results on major theoretical and practical issues of China's SEZs, expanding the international influence of the Shenzhen schools of thought, and promoting Shenzhen academics “going global”.
