Director Tao Yitao delivers a speech
Prof. Tao illustrated with “Five Tops” that as a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Shenzhen is also a benchmark city in the Chinese digital economy and a model of cities in “Digital China”. She believed that the solid and fast progress of the digital economy in Shenzhen was driven by institutional innovation. Shenzhen’s success as a smart city lies in the power of perspectives, not just its abundant resources. A perspective cannot directly change society, but it can exert an influence on people who will eventually change it. The prosperity of Shenzhen’s digital economy is cogent proof.
