On the morning of July 2, the 2022 Graduation and Degree Awarding Ceremony of Shenzhen University (SZU) was held in Alumni Square of Yuehai Campus, SZU. Guests attending the ceremony were Li Qingquan, Secretary of SZU Party Committee, Mao Junfa, President of SZU and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chen Xiangsheng, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Fan Zhigang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Wang Yuexing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Committee, Vice Presidents Du Hongbiao, Xu Chen, Zhang Xueji, Wang Yongcheng and Zhang Xiaohong, Deng Xueqin, a distinguished alumnus of SZU, Chairman and President of Genzon Group, and heads of colleges (departments) and functional departments. Mr. Fan Zhigang presided over the ceremony.
Prof. Li Fan, Deputy Director of CCSEZR, attended this ceremony. Seven Ph.D graduate students and one representative of excellent Master's graduate students of 2022 Theoretical Economics Class of CCSEZR were present at the ceremony. According to employment statistics, 28 students of 2022 Theoretical Economics Class are expected to graduate this semester. By the end of June, 2022, 23 students have secured their employment (13 masters and 10 doctors). Among them, fourteen are contracted by companies, four are enrolled in public institutions, two Ph.D graduates intend to enter post-doctoral stations for further study (Zhu Shiyi - Post-doctor in Theoretical Economics at Tsinghua University; Zeng Jiehua - Post-doctor in Qianhai FOF of Shenzhen), and three master graduates intend to pursue further study at famous universities in and outside of China (Wu Xiaokun - Ph.D admission into the Business School of Arizona State University; Xie Shiyu - Ph.D admission into Theoretical Economics at the Southwest University of Finance and Economics; Qiu Ping - to be admitted into Economics Major of Ningbo-Nottingham University).
At the ceremony, President Mao Junfa addressed passionately to encourage the graduates to become upright and responsible fellows of SZU. In the vast journey to fulfill the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, SZU graduates should tackle difficulties with righteousness, feed their souls with courage and integrity, and let the flower of life bloom to the fullest in Shenzhen, the Bay Aera and places where our motherland needs it most.
At the ceremony, President Mao turned the tassels of the representatives of doctoral graduates and awarded them Certificates of Doctor's Degree. Secretary Li awarded Certificate of Honor to Wu Xiaodan, the representative of excellent Master's graduate students of 2022 Theoretical Economics Class of CCSEZR.

The ceremony ended successfully with lingering farewell and the whole audience singing the song “Goodbye”.
Though the students are far apart, their longing for and missing of each other will keep them together beyond distance. At the time of parting, we wish all the 2022 graduates of CCSEZR that they could forge ahead with the pioneering spirit, and be invincible wherever dreams may lead!
