On the morning of July 16, 2019, the topping-out ceremony of Wu Yuzhang Building was held in Shenzhen University (SZU). Attending the event were Prof. Du Hongbiao, Vice President of SZU, Prof. Tao Yitao, Director of the China Center for Special Economic Zone Research (CCSEZR), Shenzhen University and President of the Belt and Road Research Institute (Shenzhen) for International Cooperation and Development (BRRIICD), Prof. Gao Xingmin, Deputy Director of CCSEZR, Wu Xianjin, President of Shenzhen King’s Land Investment Co., Ltd., Li Xin and Lan Yu, Vice President of King’s Land, special guests Mr. Chen Haisheng and Mr. Xu Wenjian, the leaders of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd. and representatives of all parties. Li Zhou, Assistant President of King’s Land and Director of the Belt and Road Research Institute of Shenzhen University, presided over the ceremony.
Wu Yuzhang Building, Shenzhen University was constructed with a donation of RMB 120 million from Guangdong Wu Xiaolan Charity Foundation, to commemorate Mr. Wu Yuzhang, an outstanding Chinese proletarian revolutionist, educator, historian and linguist. The building is expected to accommodate the teaching and research of CCSEZR, Shenzhen University upon competition. The Foundation has also funded SZU in establishing the BRRIICD as a new type of think tank with academic clout both in and outside of China.

On this sunshiny day, the topping-out ceremony heralds the prosperity of King’s Land Group and thriving teaching and research environment of Shenzhen University.
Mr. Wu Xianjin delivers a speech
Mr. Wu Xianjin, President of King’s Land, delivered a speech on behalf of Ms. Wu Xiaolan and expressed his gratitude to Shenzhen University for its support and to the construction company for its quality of work. With his announcement started the ceremony.
Topping-out ceremony
The music rose and the colorful ribbons popped out out. The leaders and representatives of related parties moved to the tower crane area to jointly complete the concrete pouring of the topping-out ceremony. The attendees posed for a group photo, and the ceremony ended in a pleasant atmosphere.
